
INTRODUCTION
The Studio is on the first floor of a converted Somerset Barn, with its own garden area overlooking Wimbleball Lake.

PRE-ARRIVAL
All the information about the Studio and its environs can be found on our website, www.thestudiobythelake.co.uk together with our availability calendar and related prices.
You may book or make enquiries from the Contact section on the site. Alternatively you may phone us on the above number.
It is essential to have a car, as there is no public transport, and we will send you full directions on how to find us with the confirmation of your booking.
ARRIVAL
The Studio is approached over a cattle grid down a quarter-of-a-mile private drive to a
15 foot gateway.
There is plenty of space to park, with a designated area for your car opposite the Studio entrance.
There is a fully fenced and gated garden area, with seat and table, below a timbered deck all of which is accessible from the Studio.
The deck has a table and four chairs, overlooking the lake, which can be lit at night.
MAIN ENTRANCE
The entrance at the front has one step - 20cm high, 80cm wide.
The door is 84cm wide, is hinged on the left and the keyhole is 80cm high.
The door opens inwards.
There is an external light at the entrance.
Inside there is a carpeted entrance hall, with four cupboards containing the boiler, washing machine, dryer and cleaning materials.
There is an open coat space with the main fuse box on the back wall.
A staircase, with 9 treads, leads to a landing, off which there are three steps down to the bathroom, and a door 76cm wide into the Studio.
STUDIO
The Studio is open-plan with a round integrated dining table, 120cm in diameter and 89cm from the floor, with four adjustable bar stools with no arms.
The space is lit by four spotlights on dimmers, and two standard lamps on dimmers.
The flooring is polished wood pine and partly covered with two rugs.
Furniture is moveable and all non-feather.
There is a three-seater sofa-bed, 2.1 metres wide, with two leather recliner chairs and footstools.
A clerk's desk houses the bed linen for the sofa-bed, a double duvet and four pillows. A bottom sheet is already in place.
The corner electric pebble fire is 22cm from the floor, with adjustable convector heating.
Also provided, 27" flat-screen Sky TV, DVD player with remote control, digital radio/CD/Tape player, and Ipod attachment.
A glass door, 88cm wide x 2 metres high, leads out onto the timbered deck.
There is a built-in wardrobe at the foot of the stairs, where the ironing board is kept.
KITCHEN AREA
The working area is 2.8 metres x 2.4 metres, and the worktop unit houses a three ring ceramic halogen hob, an oven which is 90cm high.
The oven door is drop-down and the height of the lowest shelf is 40cm from the floor.
There is a refrigerator with three-star freezer box, and a 450 mm Smeg dishwasher, both under the worktop.
The Sink has a mixer tap, 90cm high, with cupboards under the adjacent worktops.
Lighting is supplied by nine recessed halogen lights on a dimmer switch.
Microwave oven, kettle and toaster, with three caddies holding tea, coffee and sugar are on the worktop.
MEZZANINE SLEEPING AREA
Approached by an eleven step space-saver staircase.
Two 3ft wide single beds of which the mattresses are 60cm high from the floor.
Non-feather duvets, non-feather and feather pillows, cotton sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are provided.
The area is carpeted, and the clear space is approximately 150cm x 150cm.
Lit by the two bedside lights and one wall light. An electric fan is provided.
BATHROOM
The door to the bathroom is 70cm wide.
The bath, with mixer tap and flexible overhead shower unit, is enclosed by a two-sided tiled area and a glass screen.
Bath height is 54cm with a vertical handle, 30cm long, for support entering and leaving the bath and shower.
A full set of towels and flannels are provided.
The basin unit is 90cm high, and the toilet seat is 47cm high.
The space to the right and left of the toilet is 1 metre.
The floor is composite tiled for warmth.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In the clerk's desk there is a green folder for general areas of information, and a purple folder for the Studio and its equipment.
A telephone can be made available by arrangement as mobile phones have very poor reception at The Studio.
The Studio is strictly non-smoking, and there is a smoke alarm in the entrance hall.
There is a fire blanket under the stairs near the kitchen, and a fire extinguisher in the hall.
One or two dogs are very welcome for a small charge.
