
The
Studio by the Lake terms and conditions of booking
1. Arrival and departure:
our bookings are from Friday to Friday and during off peak weeks short breaks
are available starting on Friday and finishing on Monday or starting on Monday
and finishing on Friday. As we need time for preparing the studio between hirers,
we ask that you arrive after 4pm and leave by latest 10.00am on your departure
date.
2. Booking confirmation is secured by a non-refundable deposit
of £100 per week. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the holiday date.
3. Cancellation: should you have to cancel, please inform us immediately. We will
do our utmost to re-let the studio and return your payment. If this is not possible,
all monies which have been paid will be forfeited. We would recommend that a cancellation
protection insurance is taken out at the time of booking.
4. Non availability:
should the studio become unavailable for any reason beyond our control (see "force
majeure clause 11) we have the right to cancel your booking. However, we will
do our utmost to offer alternative accommodation. If this is not possible, all
monies paid will be refunded including the deposit. We regret we are unable to
pay any compensation or meet any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of
any such cancellation or change.
5. Numbers: the maximum number occupying
the studio is limited to four persons.
6. Pets: we welcome a maximum
of two fully house-trained dogs. Please ensure that you bring your pet baskets
with you as under no circumstances should they be allowed to lie on the bedding
or chairs, nor should they be left unattended in the studio. There is a pet charge
of £10 per stay per dog.
7. Access: the owners reserve the right to have
access to the studio at all reasonable times, but giving prior notice whenever
possible.
8. Your property: we cannot accept responsibility for loss
or damage to your property, or for personal injury or damage to cars parked on
our premises at your risk.
9. Damage: we endeavour to maintain a high
standard of comfort and cleanliness at all times. We ask you therefore to ensure
that all furniture, fittings and effects are kept in the same good condition as
they were found. We reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage howsoever
caused.
10. Shortcomings: please notify us as soon as possible of any
shortcomings so that prompt remedial action can be taken. Please note we can only
consider complaints brought to our attention during the time of your stay.
11. Force majeure: we cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where
the performance or prompt performance of our contract with you is prevented or
affected by reason of circumstances which amount to "force majeure." Circumstances
amounting to "force majeure" include any event which we could not, even with all
due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage
of the property (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard
before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other
weather damage, break in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond our control.
Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural
or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual
or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.
